68140-05P is a UHPLC column packed with 1.8 µm NP Amino™ particles featuring a 100 Å pore size in a 4.6 mm ID x 50 mm format. The short 50 mm length is optimized for rapid separations and high-throughput analysis, while the sub-2 µm particle technology delivers exceptional efficiency, high peak capacity, and improved chromatographic performance. This column is specifically designed for UHPLC operation and is intended to take full advantage of UHPLC systems capable of operating at the elevated pressures generated by 1.8 µm particles. Typical operating flow rates are approximately 1.0–2.0 mL/min depending on mobile phase composition and system pressure limitations.

This column is particularly effective for sugars, carbohydrates, negatively charged compounds, organic acids, and compounds containing carboxylic acid functionality. As with all amino phases, it is suitable for both Normal Phase and HILIC applications when enhanced retention of polar compounds is required.
